Light Meter Classic

Privacy Policy

Nothing leaves the phone. There is nothing to leave it with.

Light Meter Classic collects no personal data. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. The app contains no networking code and does not connect to any server, including ours. Effective 28 July 2026.

The camera

The app uses the camera as a light sensor. Frames are read to measure how bright the scene is and are discarded immediately. Nothing is recorded, saved to your photo library, or transmitted. Denying camera access leaves the app usable as an exposure calculator.

What is stored on your device

The following stay on the device, in the app's own storage, and are never sent anywhere:

Deleting the app removes all of it. We have no copy and no way to obtain one.

Exporting calibration

You can export your calibration as a JSON file. That happens only when you ask for it, and the file goes wherever you choose to send it through the system share sheet. The app does not upload it.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
